October 2, 2009 Despite very cool temps,The Lebanon Midway Speedway held their season ending event sponsored by Yeoman Racing Engines and Mach 1 Race Cars with a different style of Extreme style racing. Cars qualified on the clock with 1 lap of timing in and ran 2 features to determine the overall winner. In the very tough Factory Stock feature number 1, fast qualifier Sundance Keepper grabbed the early lead with Burl Woods giving him plenty of competition along with Derek Brown. Keepper, Woods and Brown swapped spots back and forth with the feature going down to the last lap as Keepper and Brown touched going into turn 1 with Brown grabbing the lead as Keepper caught the wall in turn 2. The feature finish saw Brown, Burl Woods, Ben Solberg, Tyson Troutman and Donnie Gennings complete the top 5. In the second feature, Sundance Keepper grabbed the early lead with Donnie Miller gaining quickly while Woods and Brown were trying to come from the back of the field. Webster held off the challenges from Jackson to take feature number 1 with Jackson, Woody, Corey Pope and Derek Cook in the top 5. Feature number 2 saw Micheal Stake go to the front early riding the top side but Josh Woody wasted very little time in grabbing the lead. Webster began his charge through the field and started to run down the leader Woody. Woody kept the middle groove fast and grabbed the second feature followed by Webster, Stake, Pope and Cook. Strong would take the checkered with Kolt Barker, Brandon Waters, Rodney Yost and Joe Francis completing the top 5. In the second feature, Keith Cheever grabbed the early lead with Tyler Schoen, Jack Hamer, Francis and others battling. A mid-race caution gave Strong the break he needed as a single file restart allowed him to go to the top groove and start running down the leader. Cheever kept Strong at bay for 3 laps before Strong grabbed the lead and the checkered with Tyler Schoen, Cheever, Jack Hamer and Rodney Yost following. In the first feature event Jason Brumley grabbed the second place honors with Les Hayes following. In the second feature it took a 3 wide pass for Atkinson to take home the win with Hayes and Tom Powers following. Ragland moved into the second place spot and by mid-race was closing in on Jackson who was flawless. Ragland tried several tries on Jackson with Jackson on line. Ragland looped the car in turn 4 as Jackson pulled away to take the opening feature followed by Ragland, Eric Lampe, Tony Moore and Pearcy Jr. In feature number 2, Pearcy had the car dialed-in on the middle groove as he was holding off repeated charges from Jackson and Ragland. As the pace was getting quicker, Pearcy stayed up front with Jackson and Ragland applying constant pressure. On lap 10, going into turn 1, Jackson got sideways along with Pearcy as Ragland drove to the top groove as both the front runners spun. On the restart, Ragland pulled away as Jackson was coming from the rear of the field as he and Pearcy ran side by side.
